South of the border...

...could have been the theme to our family meal tonight. We made kick-ass enchiladas and other Mexican flavored dishes. Tons of fun, and it all tasted good. All that was missing was the beer and tequila.
It was one of the chef's birthday today and the whole school was in a very celebratory (is that a word?) mood.

Saturday we will get tested on knife skills, I think I'll do ok but I should probably practice some more. The test on the lemon tart came back a 95, I'm happy about that.
We were also told today that in the upcoming weeks we will have "mock-midterms" to get some practice. That's a huge relief because as you know I'm a nervous wreck because of my midterm panic attacks.
