A day of leisure

Today was different. I usually get into my office no later than 9am, work all day and then rush off to school trying not to be late.
Today started with a doctor's appointment on Park Av at 77th. When I was done there I decided on a stroll in Central Park. I walked through the park and ended up in front of the Dakota. By now the sun was starting to warm things up and I decided to do like it's sunday and have a lazy, long breakfast.

I walked into "Le Pain Quotidien" a small chain of very nice cafes/restaurants. They gave me a nice seat by the window where I started sipping my cafe au lait, waiting for my order of cheeses and breads.
When my order arrived I was very pleased at first because it was a lot of cheese and it was good cheese.

As I was just about to dig into the goat cheese, I saw something sparkle and shine...
Upon taking a closer look I was realizing I was looking at a contact lens!
Gross right?
Anyway they of course gave me free stuff and were thoroughly embarassed.

When I finally got home at about 2pm, it was almost time to get prepared for school.
It was a great day, besides the contact lens scenario. One of those days that make you love this crazy city.

Then school - all went well, but I gotta admit...I hate cod!
Cod is so gross to look at - almost as bad as cheese with contact lenses.
