The first cut...

...went straight into my thumb. It happened during clean up, I finally got christened! My boning knife took a nice slice off my left thumb - I know, I know - I should have used a carving knife.

Anyway the test was torture. I have no idea how I did. And I know I'm not the only one - long faces all around...

Class today was very good we had our first lesson on poultry. Finally "real cooking", we made two types of chicken - a rasted one and a sauteed one. Both were delicious, with beautiful sauces and a nice vegetable arrangement. Very tasty.

By the way, my keyboard is now getting bloody and I guess the bandage should be changed.
