How sweet it is...

There is nothing like cooking for a group of people and getting their approval. I think that that is one of the reasons I am drawn to the cooking profession, the instant gratification.
It was very gratifying to do the family meal today. Sure, we had to hustle and it was hard work at times - but it felt so good to just stand back and watch people eat. 120 people give or take.

It helps too that the chef that does family meals with us is a really cool guy that knows how to cook and how to teach.
The night started off with 3 of us quartering 40+ chickens. It's great to do quantities now because you can feel yourself improve with every chicken, the last ones were a breeze...
All in all today was a great experience and again a major step towards restaurant cooking.
